Consider this: Cut the bottle in half just below the "shoulder".  Take that half-used bag of elbow macaroni, rice, sunflower seeds for salad toppings, etc. that end up spilling their contents all over the pantry; feed the open end of the bag up through the mouth of the bottle, spread the edges down over the bottle, and screw the cap on.
