FOOD. Can you imagine all of the Louisiana Cuisine in one place at one time? The Taste of Louisiana Festival features dishes from every Parrish of Louisiana such as Crawfish, Boudin, Gumbo, Etouffee and much more.
Barbeque Cook- off- What would Memorial weekend be without barbeque? Do you have the best barbeque in Louisiana? We have decided to let you showcase your grilling skills at The 2012 Festival. Please see our Barbeque Cook-off section for details.
MUSIC. Enjoy the sounds of non- stop music from Louisiana’s Cajun, Zydeco, Jazz, and Brass Bands. Also, there’s plenty of space for you to dance the day and night away.
This year’s festival includes live performances from Cajun Radio Artist of the Year Horace Trahan and the Ossun Express, Grammy nominated Country artist Bryan Fontenot, New Orleans Brass Band Brass-A-Holics “Gogo Brass Funk Band”, Southwest Louisiana’s own Brandon Ledet and The Creole Touch and more to be announced.
CULTURE. Come learn a lesson on Louisiana’s History. This area will highlight some of Louisiana’s unique cultural differences, influences and contributions through exhibits donated by various organizations.
